My favorite thing about summer here in France has to be the beautiful big fields of sunflowers that cover the sides of most roads be it highway or countryside.
This is the Chateau of Mont Geoffrey it was a small but very beautiful chateau, it is privately owed and the owner actually lives inside of it still, it has been passed down many generations.
Today the 3rd of August i went to Bretayne, the town was so beautiful and different and very very old, it was surrounded by great big walls and ocean, you have to cross a bridge to get to it. there were lots of American and English tourists, it seemed strangely comforting to hear English being spoken around me.

in this town there are a few private houses and restaurants that you can only get to by boat and are only open in Summer, very interesting and cool i thought. in the left hand side photo is my new host dad (Olive) and i.
Life for me is still going well, Saturday i leave for Spain and the south. And return on the 21st then on the 22nd i leave to Paris with my Aunty :) the holidays are turning great. Been away 6.5 months now. 159 days to go.....
