Just open your eyes and see that life is Beautiful ...

On the 6th of August til the 20th my host family took me to the south of France to a town called Vieux-Boucau.  i had a great time seeing new places and doing new things..... The weather was very very very hot throughout the two weeks i was there, most days around 38 degrees.... (now i guess you understand when i say it was really freaking hot) Also while i was in the south my family took me to visit different towns in the south and also a few towns in Spain. The towns we visited were all under 2 hours away from the place we were staying... cray how you can drive to another country unlike New Zealand, i'm still not used to it. My favorite town in Spain that we visited was called St Sebastian. during my time away i got to do lots of sun bathing on the beach so i'm pretty brown now :)

In The south of france we stayed at a camp ground in a mobile home, we were also with another family that are friends with my host family. The drive to the south took around 8 hours..... a really long day, but totally worth it.

while in the south i went to the beach and the pool, went for bike rides, vivisted the local markets and restaurants, went to different town, sunbathed, shopping, saw and took part in an awesome toro show ect.

okay... so i said i went and took part in a toro show.... let me tell you about it. so there are all different parts of it and different games you can play. at first it was men in an arena with the bulls chasing them, going absolutely crazy! the bulls would literally push these guys on the ground and attack them, i seriously couldn't understand how these men were not getting completely nailed... then there were couple games and for some reason i had the urge to participate, so.... my host dad and i volunteered along with 3 other 'couples' and i had to hide in a barrel holding a huge hoop and my host dad had to try and round the bull up to go through the hoop i was holding. So this bull id running at my barrel while i'm trying to completely hide my whole body in the barrel so i didn't get attacked.  after that the guy ran to me and told me to hide even more because another bull was being let out from the other direction, so obviously i was a little freaked out. Turns out next thing i know my barrel is on its side and rolling and then..... i completely wet in a huge pool of dirty water.... ah la la. But that went that a won. because i got put in the pool, it was scary as heck. but seriously so much fun! it was a really good night!!

~St Sebastian~

St Sebastian is a beautiful town in Spain, it is really close to the french border and is full of amazing, beautiful building and lovely big long beaches. St Sebastian is quite a big town and has alot of shops and apartment buildings. Spain is so different compared to France.. i find it strange how different it is when it is so close. Spain is even hotter then France.

while in spain we visited the town, shopping malls, churches, beaches and ports.

I am still really enjoy my time in France, i have now been on summer holidays for nearly 3 months, but back on the 5th of September. The new exchange student from Oregon, USA has now arrived in la fleche. I haven't been able to meet her yet because right now i'm with my Aunty who has come to visit me here in France, be prepared for a big blog update after my time with Aunty ends... we are having a great time together... i have no been away from NZ for 219 days and will be home in  134 days.... just over 4 months to go, crazy how time is flying by....
I'll write soon,
Keep smiling, Esther xx
